Here at TKI we try and expose our goalkeepers to more than just the shot stopping aspect of goalkeeping. There is so much more that goes into becoming a great goalkeeper than simply on field training! This special topic session will be one hour of goalkeeper training and one a half hours of yoga with a soccer specific yoga instructor on Sunday, September 20th. One parent is encouraged to join the yoga session (at no extra cost) to spend time with their player outside the lines.
Yoga is beneficial for goalkeepers in so many different ways! All the top goalkeepers in the world have started to use yoga as a way to reduce injury, increase flexibility and endurance, strengthen their core, and find balance while in a specific pose. This directly translates to composure in the goal while in the set position.
