Join The Keeper Institute for a one day Goalkeeper Clinic on July 2nd at Hood College in Frederick, MD. Sessions will be run by former U.S. Women's National Team goalkeeper Jill Loyden, current Sky Blue FC and Drexel University Goalkeeper Coach Maria Dorris, and the rest of The Keeper Institute staff.
The clinic will be for ages 8-18 and will take place from 10:30AM-1:30PM.
Ages 8-12 will be working on sharpening their foundational techniques. This is NOT a "beginner" clinic. The priority for the morning session will be technical and physical development. They will master set shape, handling techniques, and basic diving. In the afternoon, they will learn about the techniques and tactics of 1v1 situations.
Ages 13-18 is specific for elite high school aged goalkeepers. The focus will be on advanced technical skills; difficult handling techniques due to pace of the shot, location, bend, point blank saves, deflections, and double saves. The clinic will also cover tactical decision making specifically to 1v1 situations, claiming crosses, all types of distribution, and physical development.
Along with the clinic, we will be offering discounted ($20) tickets to the NWSL game that evening featuring the Washington Spirit vs. FC Kansas City at Maureen Hendricks Field. Kickoff is set for 7pm.
This is an opportunity you will not want to miss! Spots are very limited for small training groups. Sign up ASAP!
